Supreme Integrated Technology (SIT) recently completed a turnkey solution for a marine vessel, delivering a self-contained, modular side door and cargo lift platform system, a testament to our expertise in integrated hydraulic systems and marine structural solutions.

The project required SIT to design, engineer, and construct a fully modular platform and door system, tailored for direct installation into the vessel by the shipyard. Each system was designed for maximum performance and ease of integration, featuring robust hydraulic actuation, a dedicated local control stand, and precise documentation to ensure seamless interface with the vessel.

Project features:

Specs:

Cargo Hatch Side Door

The watertight side door was designed as a drop-in module that easily integrates to the hull of the ship with minimal modification to the ship structure, while fully adhereing to ABS MVR guidelines for side shell doors. The door’s frame doubles as the supporting structure of the lift platform assembly, permitting ease of integration to the vessel.

Cargo Lift Platform

The custom lift platform features a mechanically coupled 2-stage actuation, allowing it to achieve its target range of 120” with a single 60” actuator stroke. This streamlined design reduced cost, complexity, and maintenance and enhanced overall system reliability and longevity.

Hydraulic Power Unit and Controls

The custom hydraulic control system was designed to ensure reliable, safe, continuous operation. With integrated cooling, filtering, and load-sense control mitigating heat and wear, the unit was designed for the demanding duty cycle required by the application. Electrical interlocking prevents unsafe operation and protects personnel and equipment.
