Hydraulic Power Units
We excel in the design and assembly of hydraulic power units (HPUs) and test stands for a variety of industries including oil & gas, industrial, subsea, marine and aerospace. Our HPUs are designed by our experience engineering team. We work in partnership with clients to solve challenges for their specific application including space constraints, weight considerations, complex control systems and energy efficiency. Collaboration with clients on parts specification allows us to deliver systems compatible with units operating in the field and deliver HPUs within tight timelines. Movable Structures
We focus on pushing the boundaries engineering with our custom designs for rugged solutions. Our expertise includes A-Frames, Davits, Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS), stern gates, shell closures, icebreaker & provision doors, movable bridges, and other state-of-the-art technology. Our Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS) are engineered for rapid deployment, optimizing operational effectiveness. Our shell closures and icebreaker doors provide robust protection against extreme environmental conditions. We work with defense applications and have the expertise to build systems to MILSPEC, DNV and ABS standards. Furthermore, our expertise extends to designing and implementing movable bridges, including bascule bridges, pontoon bridges, locks and dams – all demonstrate our commitment to support of important US infrastructure.
STEERING
As a pivotal partner for shipbuilders, SIT delivers custom-designed steering systems for marine and defense applications. SIT successfully upgraded the steering systems for an aging marine fleet, replacing outdated equipment with next-generation, high-speed steering systems. SIT’s meticulous redesign and integration for the fleet’s 58 vessels ensured that each met modern performance standards, significantly reducing future maintenance costs and enhancing longevity. SIT’s CS Controls division designs and builds a comprehensive range of steering gears, including link-type, ram, Rapson slide, and low-pressure rotary vane systems, tailored to client specifications with capacities ranging from 50 to 500 kilonewton-meters.
