Supreme Integrated Technology delivered a reliable hydraulic power unit (HPU) solution for an active wedge barrier application designed to secure controlled-access facilities and critical infrastructure sites.

Customer Challenge

The customer was experiencing ongoing reliability and support issues with their previous hydraulic power unit supplier, resulting in significant equipment downtime and operational disruptions at the end-user facility. Because the wedge barrier system plays a critical role in perimeter security and controlled vehicle access, dependable hydraulic performance was essential to maintaining both site security and daily operations.

SIT Solution

To address these challenges, SIT designed a high-quality standard hydraulic power unit built with reliable components and engineered for long-term operational performance. By incorporating a premium hydraulic pump and low-leakage directional valves, SIT was able to provide a cleaner, more dependable solution that significantly improved system reliability compared to the customer’s previous setup.

The HPU was specifically configured to support the continuous operational demands of an active wedge barrier system, where the barrier remains raised to prevent unauthorized vehicle access and lowers only when authorized entry is granted.
